In anticipation of the November midterm elections, House Education and Labor committee members released bills outlining their Higher Education Act legislative priorities should their party gain a majority in the House in 2023.
Both the Republicans' REAL Reforms Act and the Democrats' LOAN Act have a significant focus on federal student loan reform, but each bill touches on Pell grants and includes other miscellaneous provisions.
