In this monthly round-up in Today's News, we would like to highlight what’s going on in your state and regional associations. This month, we have the opportunity to hear from our colleagues from Rhode Island, New York, Texas, and the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (EASFAA).

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Each year, NASFAA presents awards to deserving members of the financial aid profession and higher education community. Let's take a moment to congratulate the winners of the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award, which is the highest award that NASFAA can bestow on one of its members or an individual who is affiliated with a member organization. Congratulations to Justin Draeger, NASFAA’s most recent President & CEO, Billie Jo Hamilton who recently retired from her role as associate vice president for enrollment planning & management at the University of South Florida, Michael Bennett, associate vice president of financial assistance services, St. Petersburg College, and Dr. Janet Hanson, who recently retired from her role as director of communications at Tuition Exchange, Inc. Take a look back at past recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award, and see all of the 2024 award recipients.

There are still seats available during the current testing window, which remains open through the 21st of this month. Be sure to schedule your exam session soon to secure the time that works best for you. FAAC® candidates preparing to take the certification exam can use these candidate resources. If you haven’t applied yet, take advantage of the waived application fee and complete your application online today.
