NEWS FROM NASFAA

On Wednesday the House Education and the Workforce Committee advanced a bill by a vote of 34-6 that would officially require the Department of Education (ED) to make the annual FAFSA form available to students on October 1.

The House Appropriations Committee, in a marathon mark-up session on Wednesday, advanced Republicans’ fiscal year 2025 bill for the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies, which would bring significant cuts to programs that provide financial assistance to students pursuing postsecondary education.

This facilitated, virtual experience will be led by NASFAA training staff members and currently certified FAACs. Participants will also receive complimentary access to the exam preparation guide, a practice test (only available to workshop attendees), and the knowledge exam.
