NEWS FROM NASFAA

NASFAA’s 2024 Virtual Conference kicked off on Monday with an interactive presentation providing attendees with frameworks and practices to help them bring their most authentic selves to their professional lives.

NASFAA is pleased to provide an updated timeline of the simplified FAFSA rollout, covering new events and announcements from our last update through June 30, 2024. NASFAA will continue to update the timeline monthly as needed.

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Each year, NASFAA presents awards to deserving members of the financial aid profession and higher education community. Let's take a moment to congratulate the winner of the 2024 Robert P. Huff Golden Quill Award, which is given to an individual or individuals chosen for their contributions to the literature on student financial aid. Congratulations to Jeff Webster, who recently retired as the Trellis Company’s Director of Research. Take a look back at past recipients of the Robert P. Huff Golden Quill Award, and see all of the 2024 award recipients.

Join NASFAA on Wednesday, August 28 at 2 p.m. ET, for an insightful webinar as we explore the intricacies of FAFSA data and federal tax information (FTI). This session will provide guidance to assist schools when making determinations on accessing, disclosing, and handling FAFSA and FTI data in accordance with federal statute and regulations. Register today to reserve your seat.
