NEWS FROM NASFAA

The Department of Education (ED) on Wednesday announced that it approved an additional $4.8 billion in federal student loan debt forgiveness for over 80,000 borrowers through fixes to the income-driven repayment (IDR) and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) programs.

A new NASFAA thought force is seeking to change how others view the financial aid profession. The Career Path Awareness for Financial Aid Administrators Thought Force has the mission of changing the perception of the financial aid profession from an accidental career to a chosen professional pathway.

The NASFAA Policy Update & Final FAFSA Countdown will include the latest updates on what's happening in Washington related to student aid policy and FAFSA Simplification implementation. The Policy Team, on December 13 at 2p.m. ET, will provide updates on student aid funding, regulatory action, administration initiatives, and much more.
