NEWS FROM NASFAA

This week on "Off The Cuff," Justin, Karen, and Rachel are joined by Jon Fansmith, the American Council on Education's senior vice president of government relations and national engagement, to recap a lengthy House hearing where Education Secretary Miguel Cardona sparred with Republicans over the department’s budget request and the secretary’s record.

On Tuesday, NASFAA posted an anonymous Quick Scan Survey asking members when their institution plans to send financial aid offers to students. Out of the 562 responses to the fourth installment of the poll, 65% of members indicated that their institutions have sent out aid offers for some or all of their students, while 28% have not begun packaging aid. Read the full poll results, broken out by institutional sector, for additional insights. The first, second, and third iterations of this poll were conducted during the weeks of April 15, April 22, and April 29. Check out the FAFSA Simplification web center for more details.
