NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Are you interested in advocating for student aid issues in your state? Volunteer to join NASFAA's State Advocacy Network! The network, which meets virtually on a bimonthly basis, will provide a forum for state and regional leaders who follow state financial aid legislation and coordinate state-level advocacy efforts to share best practices related to communication with state lawmakers, student engagement, and advocacy campaigns. If interested, please apply to volunteer no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, September 27, 2024.

What makes a strong candidate for NASFAA National Chair? We are seeking someone who works full-time at a NASFAA member institution, has demonstrated leadership at the state or regional level, has experience with facilitating meetings and public speaking, and is committed to upholding NASFAA’s code of ethics. If you — or anyone you know — fits the bill, please nominate yourself or a qualified colleague for the role of NASFAA National Chair by October 31 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Nominations are also being accepted for representatives-at-large.

If you're interested in a holistic review of your financial aid operations, the Standards of Excellence review is for you! Our peer reviewers can highlight strengths, identify compliance exceptions, and recommend improvements to benefit you and your students. We are scheduling reviews for the 2024-25 cycle. Request information today to get on the calendar!
