Round Rock, TX -- TG is rolling out enhanced features for its online survey-creation tool, List AssistSM, which helps college financial aid officers simplify the process of creating a preferred lender list. List Assist, designed to electronically create, collect, and evaluate surveys, has been updated to support the preparation of a preferred lender list for students seeking alternative, or private, loan information, as well as capturing information related to lenders participating in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP).
"Last year, TG gave financial aid administrators a comprehensive tool to help them automate and document their lender request for information process," said John Zanot, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for TG. "List Assist lets financial aid officers efficiently track and record information related to lenders. The additional support now allows them to review the same information for both FFELP and alternative lenders that students may look to for help paying for their college education."
College administrators using List Assist will be able to:
- Identify the type of loan survey to be distributed (FFELP or alternative).
- Access copies of responses, which can be captured and reviewed up to 60 days after the end of the survey period.
- Access a library of survey questions, created with help from financial aid professionals, specific to FFELP or alternative loan types.
- Add custom questions based on campus priorities.
- Print reports to review lender responses and document selections.
- Reuse questions from previously created List Assist surveys.
"Transparency in lender selection is very important for school administrators," said Zanot. "List Assist helps provide orderly documentation, the foundation of good transparency practices."
TG launched List Assist in 2008 as a no-cost survey-creation tool to help facilitate requests for information for college and university administrators to document a preferred lender list. More than 200 schools are currently using the List Assist product. The new enhancements will be available on October 30, 2009.
