TG: What Borrowers Need to Know about Income-Based Repayment

Round Rock, TX - TG, a student loan guaranty agency, is working to help borrowers understand the Department of Education’s newest repayment option, Income-Based Repayment (IBR), an alternative student loan repayment plan in the Federal Family Education Loan Program. IBR establishes a monthly payment that takes a borrower’s unique situation into account by considering income, family size, and federal student loan debt.

To help communicate the financial value of IBR to student-loan borrowers, TG is hosting a Web-based press conference on Tuesday, June 23. TG invites you to participate in the press conference, which will highlight IBR benefits for those borrowers who may be experiencing financial hardship, information on the application process, and what borrowers should consider when deciding the repayment options that best fit their needs.

A short 15-minute presentation will begin the press conference, followed by a question/answer opportunity for those wanting additional information.
