PGPresents, LLC, the company based on "responsible borrowing through shared responsibility" today released a new video designed to help Class of 2009 medical school graduates keep their loans in good standing. They face a key "Decision Point" this fall when the 6-month grace period on their Federal Stafford Loans expires.
With recent changes to deferment eligibility and continuing questions regarding Income Based Repayment and Public Service Loan Forgiveness, these graduates need the objective and timely help provided by PGPresents to help keep their loans in good standing.
"For many first-year residents, the decision may come down to either reducing or completely eliminating payments through Internship Residency Forbearance or actually entering a repayment plan, most likely Income Based Repayment (IBR), since that is the only plan many can afford right now with their residency stipend. There are consequences to consider with either choice and this video is designed to help them make a more informed decision. What they ultimately do will mainly depend on their personal monthly budget and their other financial commitments as well as their own repayment strategy, be it an aggressive one or one designed to delay payments during residency."
