NHHEAF Raffle Awards Two More Students with $1,000 Scholarships
Concord, NH -- The final two winners of the NHHEAF Network Organizations' Take it to the
Bank Scholarship Giveaway were recently awarded $1,000 scholarships.
The July winner, Jeffrey Dillon, is a recent graduate from Alvirne High School. He will be a
freshman at Southern NH University in Manchester, NH. He learned about the Take it to
the Bank Scholarship Giveaway after receiving a postcard in the mail. "I didn't apply for
too many scholarships because the process of financial aid was pretty confusing. Your
office made it easy." Jeff shared that he is excited to go to SNHU and pursue Justice
Studies. "I'm really happy. And I feel ready to do this." He is especially confident that he
is on the right path because he has a few mentors already in law enforcement including
his dad and uncles.
Stephanie Williams from Somersworth is the final winner of the Take it to the Bank
Scholarship Giveaway. Stephanie spent her undergraduate years at UNH Manchester
where she studied microbiology. After working in a lab doing experimental research, she
returned to school full-time at UNH Manchester and is now pursuing her Masters in Public
Health. "I'm enjoying my studies at UNH Manchester because I'm surrounded by diverse
professionals." Stephanie is focusing on issues that are critical to all of us including health
policy and interventions for disease outbreak and control. She hopes to help people
make informed decisions and help communities respond to potential population health
issues. Stephanie will soon begin a student assistantship through the Office of Women's
Health in Boston. "I've had to rely on student loans to pay for grad school, so I was really
thankful when I heard that I won this scholarship. It is inspiring to know that someone is
helping to lighten the load."
