RESTON, Va. - The College Board announced today that Sentara School of Health Professions of Chesapeake, VA has licensed PowerFAIDS, the comprehensive financial aid system used by more than 575 institutions.
PowerFAIDS, first developed by the College Board in 1996, automates the financial aid process for post-secondary institutions. Economical and easy to implement, PowerFAIDS manages record creation, electronic communications, student eligibility determination, federal grant management, packaging, loan origination, reporting and research. PowerFAIDS version 14.2 will be released in May 2009.
"Sentara School of Health Professions selected PowerFAIDS software to meet our financial aid processing needs," said Lisa M. Waterfield, marketing and public relations specialist at Sentara. "The software will provide a more technologically efficient process, improve time management and provide a comprehensive approach to handling our school and students' needs. "
"Sentara is joining a diverse mix of institutions that customize PowerFAIDS to manage their complex enrollment patterns," said Ryan Williams, vice president for Enrollment at the College Board. "Not only will they find a lot of support from College Board staff, but also from institutions in the PowerFAIDS community that operate in a similar way."
