We are pleased to announce the availability of the recorded version
of our 2008-09 online, instructor-led training on Improving Direct Loan Processing.
This one hour and thirty minute session was offered on Tuesday, April 15, 2008.
The Improving Direct Loan Processing training session is for participants in
the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program who are
intermediate level users of Federal Student Aid's Web sites. The session
will focus on improving processing and resolving issues with Direct Loans
using Federal Student Aid's Direct Loan Electronic Master Promissory Note
(MPN) https://dlenote.ed.gov/empn/index.jsp,
Common Origination and Disbursement (COD)
http://www.cod.ed.gov/, and Direct Loan Servicing Online http://www.dlservicer.ed.gov/
Web sites. In addition, we will provide a brief overview of the Direct
Loan (DL) Tools software. The information presented in the session will
assist a school in successfully participating in the Direct Loan Program.
The topics that will be covered in the Improving Direct Loan Processing training session are as follows:

* Researching credit checks
* Resolving
student record issues using batch searches
* Managing your school's financial
information
* Choosing Direct Loan and School Account Statement (SAS)options
