2002 NASFAA Spring Training Materials Available for Purchase

If you were unable to attend NASFAA's Spring 2002 Training series, you can now order the reference material distributed at the sessions. A limited supply of the materials is available.

The 2002 Spring Training series consists of four modules:

  • Cash Management Notifications and Authorizations
  • FERPA/Information Release
  • Program Participation Agreements - How to Ensure You Maintain Institutional Eligibility

    Topics Covered in Cash Management Notifications and Authorizations

  • Information schools must provide their Title IV recipients regarding the funds they have been awarded
  • When a notification must be sent and the acceptable formats for notifying Title IV recipients
  • When an authorization is required from a Title IV recipient and what the authorization permits the school to do with the recipient's Title IV funds
  • Assessing whether your school's policies and procedures are in compliance with cash management notification and authorization requirements, and if necessary, how to revise your policies and procedures

  • Parent and student rights under FERPA
  • Institutional responsibilities under FERPA
  • Disclosing personally identifiable information
  • Incorporating regulations concerning military recruiting into FERPA policies and procedures

    Cost

    The price for a set of the materials for all three modules is $55 for Members and $110 for non-members. The price for individual modules is $15 per module for Members and $30 per module for non-members.

    For each of the module ordered, you will receive a Participant's Guide containing information that identifies and explains the requirement's of the module's topics. The Participant's Guide also includes mini-vugraphs, charts, and other useful job aids.
